Honoring Sorrell Trope Fellowship

The close, nurturing and special relationship Sorrell Trope has with the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law spanning the last 25 years was recently highlighted in a publication sent to thousands of local lawyers. Honoring the 20th anniversary of the Trope Family Law Public Interest Fellowship, his alma mater USC Gould School of Law prominently featured an in-depth piece on the Trope Fellowship which over the years has sponsored 21 USC summer interns fully funded by Sorrell Trope. “In addition to his reputation as an incredible lawyer and the dean of family law in California, Sorrell has a big heart, sense of fairness and concern for the underdog, “says Betty Nordwind, the Center’s Executive Director. “We have been incredibly fortunate to have his wisdom and support for all these years, and we are absolutely the better for it,” says Nordwind.  To read the full USC story on the creation of the Trope Family Law Fellowship, the only one of its kind in the nation, please click here.
