Angelica froze when the Utah social worker told her over the phone that her estranged husband was in jail for sexually molesting their 11-year-old daughter. She heard that her children were in child protective custody after an extended visit with their father. In a tearful daze, she grabbed her purse and drove hundreds of miles across state lines to bring her children back safely home. With the Harriett Buhai Center’s help, Angelica divorced her husband and obtained an order prohibiting from him seeing the children.
