Interpretation Program

Get real-world interpreting experience and provide crucial help to the community at the same time! The Harriett Buhai Center offers Spanish speakers and interpretation students the following volunteer opportunities and internships:

• Assist with client interviews and fact gathering during free legal consultations; free legal consultation appointments are held over the phone and on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and one or two Saturdays a month. Appointments are generally 2-4 hours long;
• Translate legal documents and client letters;
• Help attorneys communicate with their clients in court and over the phone.
