Sascha Bensinger, Hall of Fame Award 2014

Advising single mothers who must ride 3 buses to get to the Center in search of legal help has given her perspective on life. “There’s something powerful about seeing people face tough problems in their lives with such bravery,” she says. “It changes the way you perceive your own difficulties.”

As a law professor with 20 years of experience, Sascha credits the Center for the insight into the real life struggles of poor families that she was able to share with law students. As Sascha describes it, “My work at the Center feeds me both personally and professionally.”
